The Lava Xolo X900 smartphone users will be in for a pleasant surprise. Lava has announced that the smartphone
which previously function on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system
will now get an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating
system.
"We are pleased to announce that Android v4.0 ICS upgrade is now
available on Xolo X900. We thank all our Xolo X900 customers for their
patience and truly hope that the ICS upgrade will make your smartphone
experience even more enjoyable," Lava said on its Facebook page.
The phone always boasted of powerful performances coupled with a long
battery life. The upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich will mean that the
performance of the phone would improve. The user would also be able to
use the face recognition unlock.
The phone comes with a 4.03-inch TFT LCD display which supports a
resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels. The screen also features a Corning’s
Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is powered by an Intel 1.6 GHz single core
Atom processor. This is the most powerful processor in the gadget world and
Lava Xolo X900 is the first smartphone with an Intel processor. The
device comes with 16 GB internal memory and an 8 mega pixel rear camera
with Auto Focus, LED flash and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera.
This smartphone is available in the market for 17,500.
