RIM, the software developing company based in Ontario, which is most popularly known for the BlackBerry OS has now become a sinking ship. With Apple iOS dominating the U.S. market and Android selling the most number of units on a global scale, BlackBerry has become yesterday’s news.
A handful of corporate employees are still seen sporting Blackberry handsets. The Mobile manufacturer which once dominated the Smartphone market is now lagging far behind in the race due to resistance to change, cut backs and losses.
RIM has now been trimmed and has been given one last chance to deliver with BlackBerry 10 as its 11th hour Samaritan.
The yesteryear’s dominator of the Smartphone market has seen a 5% slip in the market share but many analysts and experts believe that many users will continue to stick with the company due to the hard keyboard and strong network security and with this launch of BlackBerry 10 handsets, the company has a strong potential for a comeback.
