Micromax Canvas HD Shipment Delayed, Price Hiked

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Smartphone, one of the most hyped Smartphones in 2013 has hit a record sale of 9000 units in less than a day after its launch on February 14. Currently, it faces shipment problems leading to further delay in sales. The next allotment of devices, which were supposed to reach the market by today, is reportedly delayed further due to certain procedural issues. Thus, the consumers who have placed orders for the handset after the first group are still on the waiting list.

Adding to it, the company has raised the price of handset. The device which was launched for 13, 990 will now be available for 14, 499. According to Micromax, the retail price was raised after the implementation of the government proposed hike in duty of the handsets which are priced above 2000

The customers who have pre-ordered the phones after the sale of first batch are excluded from the hike and the company is willing to refund the money to those who wish to cancel their orders.
