Though device was up for pre-orders on Micromax’s website for an initial amount of
5,000 and press releases were handed out for today’s launch, the specs of the mobile were tightly wrapped until today.
Meanwhile there were many rumours about the device’s specs, but with
today’s launch, some came true and some failed terribly. One of the most
rumoured specs the 1080 p screen resolution, also called as Full HD,
failed terribly, as the device sports 720 p resolutions only. Adding to
the failed rumours list is a high capacitve battery, originated from
company’s "Can Life Be Endless?" caption. But like its antecessor, the
Canvas HD, it’s just 2000 mAh.
You can take panorama shots from bottom to top. Pin a video to the screen and drag various applications on to it, you can work on apps simultaneously while without missing even a moment of your video. With “Roving Eyes” feature, the video currently playing on your screen pauses whenever your eyes are off the screen and it resumes when you look back at it. “Peekaboo!” is a feature where you can preview other videos without pausing the one you are currently watching. “Swipe to control” helps you to increase or decrease the volume or brightness with just a swipe.
Micromax Canvas 4 comes with a 5.0-inch HD display at 720x1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. It has 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
